Ruth Marilyn Hall Grisham

Ruth Hall Grisham, 85, resident of the Ripley Community and lifelong Tippah Countian, passed away peacefully at her home unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday May 30, 2017.
  There will be a private family service planned for Mrs. Grisham and arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Mrs. Grisham was born February 20, 1932 in Ripley, the daughter of the late Albert 'Joe Abb" and Annie Laura Hill Hall. She was a graduate of Ripley High School and continued her education at Freed-Hardeman College at Henderson, TN.
  Mrs. Grisham was employed by Ripley merchants in retail sales for a number of years and was an active member of the community throughout her life. She will be remembered as a "Southern Lady" who took much pride in her appearance.
  A devoted loyal member of The Ripley Church of Christ, Mrs. Grisham participated in numerous church functions and enjoyed her social activities as a member of the Tuesday Ladies Club. Avid travelers in the United States and overseas, Mr. and Mrs. Grisham found pleasure in traveling and developing friends as members of the Good Sam's Travel Club.
  Mrs. Grisham is survived by her daughter, Ann Akins (Benny) of Ripley, a son, Jim Perkins (Nancy) of Madison, three grandchildren, Chris Hall, Jon Hall (Sarah) and Andy Perkins (Michaela) and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herschel H. Perkins and Victor Grisham and a son, Tommy Perkins.
  The family request that memorials be directed to Pine Vale Children's Home, 1872 CR 700, Corinth, MS 38834 or to The Ripley Church of Christ, 1300 Hall Dr., Ripley, MS 38663.
