Samuel Lee Miler, 79, resident of Ripley, passed away peacefully Thursday morning November 29, 2018 at the Tippah County Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Miller will be at 11 AM Monday December 3 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Mountain Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born June 29, 1939 in Blue Mountain and was the son of the late Irvin and May Belle Taylor Miller. He was a 1958 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and was married to his beloved wife, the former Roma Emmalene McCraw of New Albany, who survives.
Mr. Miller was a lifelong resident of Tippah County and a member of Macedonia Deentown Baptist Church. He was a valued employee of LaSalle, Inc and The Cubicon Corporation before his retirement. In earlier years Mr. Miller enjoyed fishing and he will be remembered by his family and friends as an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Visitation will continue Monday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, he is survived by two brothers, David Miller of Ripley and Junior Miller (Paulette) of Blue Mountain, a step daughter, Belinda Morgan (Bill) of Tupelo and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Guide, a brother, Henry Miller and his special feline companion, "Midnight".
