Sandra Lynn Elkins

Sandra Lynn Elkins,78, resident of Byhalia and former resident of the Ashland area, passed away on Friday March 22, 2019 at Great Oaks Nursing Facility in Byhalia after a brief illness.
  Services for Mrs. Elkins will be Monday, March 25, 2019 at 2PM in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ashland Cemetery.
   The daughter of the late Lynn and Nellie Lowary Rushing, she was born in Jackson, TN and received her education in the Jackson Public School System.
  A Christian and a homemaker Mrs. Elkins made her home in Memphis with her late husband David Elkins who died in 2003. In recent years she lived in the Byhalia area to be near her family. She loved her children and caring for her pet canine, Tyson.
  Mrs. Elkins was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one great -grandson.
  Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters, Debra Pruitt, (Dennis) of Brighton, TN, Elizabeth (Beth) Gross ( David) of Olive Branch. Two sons, David Elkins, Jr. ( Tammy) and Kirtis Elkins (Tiffany), both of Byhalia. She leaves 10 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
