Sandra Raymond Jenkins, 80, resident of the Chalybeate Community and beloved wife of the late James Luther Jenkins, passed away suddenly of natural causes on December 14, 2018 at her home.
Services remembering the life of Mrs. Jenkins will be Thursday December 27 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Personal Reflections given by her grandson, Ryan Jenkins of Tupelo. A poem written by Mrs. Jenkins will be read by her daughter in law, Lisa Jenkins.
Mrs. Jenkins was born March 31, 1938 in Lewiston, ME and was the daughter of the late Wilfred Henry and Montress Smith Raymond and was a gaduate of Sabbatus High School in Sabbatus, Maine.
A Christian, Mrs. Jenkins was a former resident of Lawtons, New York and was employed by the American Kazoo Company for over 19 years before her retirement. In February 2018, she moved to Tippah County to be near her son and grandchildren.
Mrs. Jenkins will be remembered for her love of cooking, writing poetry and on line shopping. Reading her Bible, crocheting and knitting were favorite pastimes she enjoyed.
Visitation for Mrs. Jenkins will be Thursday from 1 PM to 2 PM at The Ripley Funeral Home.
Her memory will be cherished by three sons, James Vincent Jenkins (Lisa) of East Aurora, NY, Noel Christopher Jenkins (Patty) of Lomoor, VA and Samuel Martin Jenkins (Lisa) of Caledonia, MS, a brother Peter Hartley of Lewiston, ME, a sister in law , Helen Perry of Pasedina, MA, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Jenkins.
