Our much loved son, husband, father, brother and friend, Timmy Ray Martin, 51, resident of Ripley and avid Band Booster, departed this life Tuesday morning January 22, 2019 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Timmy will be at 2 PM Friday January 25 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Louie Williams officiating. Personal Reflections will be given by Bro. Tim Latch. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
Timmy was born June 30, 1967 in Water Valley, MS and is the son of Kathleen Link Fly of Water Valley and the late Bobby Ray Martin. He was a 1985 graduate of Water Valley High School and was married January 8, 1994 to his beloved wife, the former Tammie Ketchum,a Registered Nurse at Magnolia Regional Health Center, who survives.
A resident of Tippah County since 1994, Timmy will be remembered by many in earlier years as a valued employee of E. W. James and Big Red Supermarkets in Ripley. He was later employed in the upholstery manufacturing industry by both Benchcraft and Ashley Furniture Corporations.
A Christian and member of Community Baptist Church in Ripley, Timmy was devoted to his family and known for his dedication and loyalty in supporting the Ripley Tiger Band and other school activities that his children and family participated in.
Timmy was a giving person who loved his community and found much pleasure helping family, neighbors and friends. An avid Ole Miss Football fan and outdoorsman, Timmy's other pasttimes included hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Through his kindness and quiet demeanor, Timmy impacted many lives and his family has the assurance of knowing that our loss here on earth is truly Heaven's gain.
Visitation will continue Friday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
In addition to his mother and wife, memories of Timmy will also be treasured by his children, Kaitlyn Cheyenne Martin and Carter Bailey Martin both of Ripley, two brothers, Larry Wayne Martin and Jeffrey Scott Martin both of Water Valley, a host of nieces, nephews, family and many friends.
