Vicky Bullock Meeks, 58, resident of the Ripley Community and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Wednesday morning May 9, 2018 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following an extended illness of several years.
Funeral Services cherishing the life of Vicky will be at 11 AM Saturday May 12 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Bro. Clay Stegall of Dumas Baptist Church will officiate and her cousin, Bro. Rex Bullock will have personal reflections. A special vocal selection will be given by a dear friend of the family, Rose Lewellen.
Born August 27, 1959 in Ripley, she is the daughter of Odene Bullock of Dumas and the late Willena Reese Bullock. Vicky was a 1977 graduate of Pine Grove High School and was married June 7, 1980 to her devoted husband, Billy Wade Meeks who survives.
A Baptist by faith and homemaker throughout her life, Vicky was dedicated to the family she adored. Her grandchildren were a great source of pride and pleasure to her as she enjoyed every opportunity to be with them. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, cooking and canning homegrown vegetables.
The wonderful memories that she gave her family and friends will be cherished always and she will live on forever in their hearts.
Visitation will continue Saturday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
In addition to her father and husband of 37 years, she leaves three daughters, Chasity Street (Chris) and Jennifer Johnson (Tim), both of Dumas and Ashley Britt (Justin) of Ripley, a brother, Jimmy Bullock of Pine Grove, nine grandchildren, Drew and Cole Street, Haley, Kelsey and Cooper Vick , Hunter and Sarah Kate Johnson, Jack and Caroline Britt.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anna Claire Street.
