Mrs. Audrey June Walton Peak, 89, resident of Hickory Flat, passed away Saturday August 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Peak will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Perry Reed officiating. Visitation will be from 11am until time of service. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Peak was born November 24, 1933 in Ligonier, IN, to the late Garrett Presley and Nettie Jean Cassity Walton. She was a 1954 graduate of Wawaka High School and married to the late Roy Lee Peak Sr. until his passing in 1993. Ms. Peak was a valued employee of PEP Industries as long as her health permitted.
A Christian, she will be remembered as a private person, but when she did speak, you knew exactly what was on her mind as she was brutally honest.
Some of Mrs. Peaks pastimes included watching old westerns, the TV show Blue Bloods staring Tom Selleck for whom she adored, listening to Elvis and Country Music. According to her loved ones, she also found pleasure in watching wrestling with a cold beverage in her hand and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memories include, three daughters, Terry Smith of Randolph, Brenda Peak Swinford of Hickory Flat, Patricia Woody (Tim) of Pontotoc, one son Roy Lee Peak Jr. of New Albany, two brothers, James and William Walton, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Peak is also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with the Peak Family.
