Carolyn Boggs James

Mary Carolyn James, 84, of Ripley, Mississippi, was reunited with her heavenly family on Thursday, May 30, 2019. She was born on August 28, 1934, in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia to the late Grady and Gertrude Boggs. As a child, she & her family relocated to Mississippi. She made her home in Ripley and was a member of Palmer Baptist Church.

Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Sharon Goolsby (Robert) of Ripley and Lynn Jones (Randy) of Falkner, half sister, Velma Rutherford (Don) of Amherst, Ohio, four grandchildren, Barbara Bullock (Bradley) of Ripley, Stacey Street (Scott) of Falkner, Craig Goolsby (Nicole) of Ripley, and Lauren Whitaker of Memphis, and four great-grandchildren, Faith Bullock of Memphis, Madison Street of Falkner, Olivia Bullock of Ripley, and Reed Street of Falkner.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady & Gertrude Boggs, and great-granddaughter, Ragan Bullock.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 1 at 10:00 am at Pine Hill Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Ripley.
