"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."- 2 Timothy 4:7
On Thursday November 28, 2024, Carolyn Jean Mauney fought the good fight, finished her race, and kept the faith as she entered into her heavenly home surrounded by those she loved most.
Services honoring the life of Ms. Carolyn will be at 2 PM Sunday December 1, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton and Bro. Caleb Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Saturday November 30, 2024, at Ripley Funeral Home and will continue from 11 AM until time of service on Sunday. Graveside Service will follow in the Lowry Cemetery.
Born August 20, 1960, in Tippah County, Ms. Carolyn is the daughter of Martha Jean Rowland Mauney of Ripley and the late Lorenzo Mauney. She was a 1978 graduate of Falkner High School and was employed in the sewing department with Bench Craft and Ashley Furniture for seventeen years, until her retirement.
A Christian and member of Blue Mountain Pentecostal Church, Ms. Carolyn was an easy-going lady who enjoyed the simple things in life. Her favorite pastimes included keeping up with westerns on television, attending her grandson's ballgames and activities, and family gatherings, which always included a large spread of food. She was a light to this world, always wearing a big bright smile, filling a room with laughter, and loving and caring for those important to her. She will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her, dancing with angels, smiling down on her family and friends, and sitting at the feet of her Lord and Savior.
Those left to cherish her memories include one son, Joshua Huddleston (Heather), her mother, Martha Jean Mauney, one sister, Marilyn Mauney Bates, three grandsons, Hunter Huddleston, Jacob Huddleston, and Jordan Huddleston, and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
She is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Jasper and Lou Etta Mauney and Henry and Nettie Rowland, her nephew, Dakota Lee Bates, brother-in-law, Freddie Bates, and the father to her son, Jeff Huddleston.
Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with Ms. Carolyns family.
