Charles Wayne Smith

On Wednesday morning, February 12, 2025, Charles Wayne Smith, 84, resident of Middleton, TN, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Smith was born November 19, 1940, in Milan, TN, the son of the late Lanois Smith and Faye Droke. He received his education from Milan High School, served in the United States Army and was employed as a cable repairman for Bell-South for 32 years before retiring. After retirement, Mr. Smith enjoyed the simplicity of life which included watching NASCAR on television and sharing quality time with his two much adored grandchildren. A beloved husband, brother and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Precious memories will continue to be shared by his wife, Suzanne Edmonds Smith, two sons, Gary Smith of Humbolt, TN and Chris Edmonds (Melania) of Middleton, one brother, James Pegram (Mary) of Holly Springs and his two wonderful grandchildren, Lucas and Caitlyn Edmonds.
