Christopher Neal "Chris" Elliott

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Christopher Neal Elliott on July 19th, 2023 in Ashland, Mississippi.  

Chris was born in the Tippah County Hospital on March 11th, 1961.  Chris was preceded in death by his father, James Billy Elliott, and granddaughter, Mirella Elliott.  He leaves behind his mother, Bobbie Elliott, two brothers Stanley Elliott and Nicky Elliott, and three sisters, Sandra Towery, Shelia Solleder and Sharon Matlock.  He fathered four children, Shane Elliott, Aney Carver, Jennifer Elliott and Candace Haygood along with seven grandchildren Michael, Isabella, Hazel, Roney, Christopher, Oliver and Zelda to carry-on cherishing his love and memories. 

Chris was a roofer and long-haul truck driver.  He developed many interests including football, basketball, motorcycles, automotive mechanics, off the grid living, guitars (country music) and many others.  He was an easy-going person, quick with a wise-crack and a good-natured laugh.  He was a gentle soul who loved the natural things in life: dogs, children, music, laughter and the forests of Mississippi.

A Memorial Service will be at 4 PM Sunday, July 23 at Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Ashland.
