Daryl Wayne Mincy, 49, resident of the Walnut Community and beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Monday morning February 26, 2018 shortly after arriving at the Thyssen-Krupp Elevators in Middleton, TN.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Daryl will be at 2 PM Friday March 2 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Steve McKee officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery near Blue Mountain.
Born February 14, 1969 in Corinth, Daryl is the son of George and Sarah Hamm Mincy of the Farmington Community in Alcorn County. He was a 1987 graduate of Alcorn Central High School and received his Vocational Degree from Northeast Community College. On August 18, 1987 he married his beloved wife of 30 years, the former Brenda Rameriez who survives.
Daryl was employed as a metal fabricator for Thyssen-Krupp Elevators in Hardeman County, TN where he had been a valued employee for 18 years at the time of his death.
A Christian, he was devoted to his family, his friends and anything that had the name Dodge or Chrysler attached to it. Daryl had a passion for drag racing and "turning a wrench" on any vehicle, as long as it was a Chrysler product.
Daryl will be remembered for his love of outdoors that included deer hunting , raising rabbits and chickens and "tinkering" with his many vehicles that included his much loved Dodge truck. His smile is etched in our hearts, his laughter an echo in our minds and his love of life will be missed by all.
Visitation will continue Friday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
In addition to his parents and wife, those also left to cherish his memory include his children, Melony Johnson of Corinth and David Mincy of Walnut, one brother, Edward Mincy (Cindy) of Tulsa, OK and one grandson, William Conner Johnson.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Dennis Garrison, Bradley Crawford, Jacob Sesma, Andrew Rider, Nick Bass and David Mincy. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Skinner, Russell Waldrop, Keith and Anthony Hamm.
