On Wednesday evening, April 26, 2023, Denver Franklin Crumpton, age 66, passed away at his residence surrounded by family. A private celebration of life will be at a later date. Mr. Crumpton was born on September 17, 1956 to the late James Homer Crumpton and Nellie "Atchley" Crumpton in Memphis Tennessee. He received his education at Hickory Flat Attendance Center.
Denver was a maintenance tech for 52 years and had been retired for 8 years. Known as a "simple man," he enjoyed taking pride in his lawn, loved hot rods of all kinds, fishing, trips to Tunica and sharing time with his family.
Denver is survived by his wife of 24 years, Brenda Payne Crumpton, daughters Karen Adams (Roger) of Walls, MS, Amanda Mason, Collene Jones (Corey) both of Ripley, Brandy Brown Hart (Jackie) of Blue Springs, sons Justin Brown (Stacy) of Ripley and Robert Denver Crumpton of Cordova, TN. He is also survived by sisters Eva Cleveland and Ammie Crumpton and brother Homer Crumpton, 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Denver is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Pam Swinford Ferguson and a brother James Crumpton.
He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
