Felisha Diane Burnett, 31, resident of Walnut, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on January 16, 2023 following an extended illness.
Services honoring the life of Mrs. Burnett will be at 2PM, Thursday January 19, 2023 in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Roberson and Bro. Jay Street officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Chapel Cemetery near Benton County. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 5PM until 8PM at the Ripley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Burnett was born on October 16, 1991 in Union County to Billy Joe Strickland and Rebecca Diane Roberson. She was a graduate of Falkner High School and Northeast Mississippi Community College with an associate degree in Nursing and was a valued employee of Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN as long as her health allowed.
A Christian with a big smile and a big heart, Mrs. Burnett enjoyed cooking, outings with her children and in younger years potting English Ivy with her Grandmother.
Family was important to Mrs. Burnett, one of the many ways she showed her love was by giving and helping anyone in need.
In addition to her parents, those left to cherish memories include husband Billy Joel Burnett, one son, Benjamin Thomas Burnett of Walnut, one daughter, Farrah Claire Burnett of Walnut, one brother, Daniel Joe Strickland of Walnut, grandparents, Daisy Mae Roberson Johnson of Falkner and Billy Strickland (Janice) of Ashland. She is preceded in death by a brother, Craig Strickland and her grandfather Junior Roberson.
