Gloria Jimmy Diane Cates Cervantes

Gloria Jimmy Diane Cates Cervantes, 67, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.  

She was born on May 21, 1957, in Austin, Texas, to the late Bobby Joe and Josephine Alvarado.  A graduate of Immaculate Conception Catholic school, Gloria worked in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Gloria found enjoyment in listening to country and Spanish music, dancing, dressing nice for any occasion, doing her hair and makeup to perfection and watching Law & Order, Special Victims Unit.  She will greatly be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Jean Virginia Cates Gonzalez (Dario) of Ecru, two brothers, Jessie Cates of Gunbarrel, TX, and Jerry Cates of Austin, TX, one grandson, Robert Anthony Cates, and two great grandchildren Ethan and Aiden Cates.
