Joseph Keith Strickland, 57, passed away Saturday June 1, 2024, at his home in Ashland, MS.

Funeral Services honoring Keith's life will be at 2 PM Tuesday June 4, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating and visitation beginning at 11 AM until Service Time on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Hopkins Cemetery.

Keith was born August 12, 1966, in Tennessee to the late Joe Montroy and Garna Lee Thompson Strickland. He was a graduate of Ashland High School and on December 13, 1996, he married his beloved wife, Connie Sides Strickland, who survives. Blessed with talented hands and the ability to do anything, Keith was a skillful wood worker who made cabinets and roofed all his life.

A Christan and man who loved the great outdoors, Keith found peace out in God's creation. From fishing with Connie when they first married, to producing a beautiful vegetable garden yearly, Keith loved it all. His greatest joy came from searching for arrow heads with his wife and son, Blake along his grandfather's property in Benton County, where they found multiple arrow heads, a flint fishhook, and other interesting pieces. Keith's family rang above all in his eyes. He was a wonderful husband to Connie, the best dad to Blake, and loved spoiling his canine son, Ruger. Keiths big heart, outgoing nature, "saying it like it was" philosophy, desire for the outdoors, and love for his family will greatly be missed by all those whose lives he touched most.

In addition to his wife of twenty-seven years, Connie Side Strickland, those left to carry on his legacy include his son Blake Lannlee Sides, his canine son, Ruger, three best friends, Danny Massengill, Mark Poff, Stanley Strickland, and a host of family, and friends.

Keith was met in heaven by his parents and his "boy", Angus who was waging his tail to see him.
