Kathy Dawn Countryman Peak Obituary

Kathy Dawn Countryman Peak, 77, Resident of Snow Lake Shores, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union County after a brief illness.

A private family Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  Arrangements are provided by Ripley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Peak was born August 30, 1945, in Memphis TN and was the daughter of the late Charles V. Countryman and Ona Temple Countryman Rust. She was a graduate of Treadway High School and was employed with Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis as a Certified Patient Care Assistant for 28 years before her retirement.  

Mrs. Peak was a devoted Christian, mother and wife who found joy in singing songs such as "Over the Rainbow", card games with family, fishing and dancing.  

Mrs. Peak was known for her selflessness and supportive nature to all her family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 59 years Richard Peak, three daughters, Karol Green (Clayton) of Ripley, Peggy Sue Meador (Sean) of Memphis, and Donna Schaum Peak of Ripley, two sisters, Patricia Waide of Ripley and Tina Countryman of Nashville, TN, four grandchildren, Natalie Watson, Jamie Dyess, Reagan Peak, and Dallas Meador, four great-grandchildren, Gaven, Gracelyn, Allyson, and Dominic Watson.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Tina Countryman, and one great grandchild, Robert Lee Watson.
