Lettie Dillard Waldon Hatcher Obituary

 Our loving mother, grandmother and "Ma Lettie", Lettie Dillard Waldon Hatcher, 78, resident of Dumas , passed away peacefully Tuesday morning February 26 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford following a brief illness.
  Funeral Services remembering the life of Mrs. Hatcher will be at 2 PM Thursday February 28 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with her grandson, Bro. Richie Hatcher officiating. Personal Reflections will be given by Bro. Randy Hurt and burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Falkner.
  Mrs. Hatcher was born February 25, 1941 in New Albany, MS and was the daughter of the late John and Jettie Lumpkin Dillard. Mrs. Hatcher was a member of Dumas Baptist Church and was a resident of the Tippah & Union County areas throughout her life.
  A homemaker, Mrs. Hatcher was a family oriented person who devoted much of her time to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader who enjoyed movies and old gospel hymns from past years. She will be remembered by many as a talented creative person with her beautiful handiwork.
  Visitation will continue Thursday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Memories will be cherished by her daughter, Gloria Jo Clemmer of New Albany, three sons, Ricky Hatcher (Kathy), Wayne Hatcher (Sissy) and Stacey Hatcher (Candy) all of Dumas, three stepsisters, Billie Gaillard of Tupelo, Jo Ann Toast and Velma Lewellen both of Modesto, CA, one step brother, Alton Lewellen, nine grandchildren ,13 great grandchildren and a special friend, Sylvia Agnew.
  She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Ellis Durell Waldon and Luther Hatcher, one daughter, Inga Waldon, her step mother, Minnie V. Dillard three sisters, Adeline White, Janie Hurt, Betty Yarbrough, two brothers, Alvie and Josh Dillard, one step sister, Laquita Lewellen and one half sister, Dorothy Brooks.
