Louise Beavers Kelly, 79, passed away peacefully Friday, June 30, 2023, at her home in Tippah County.
Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Kelly will be 11 AM Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Unity Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Barefield officiating. Visitation will be 5 PM until 8 PM, Monday July 3, 2023, at Unity Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ripley Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
One of twelve children, Mrs. Kelly was born May 2, 1944, in Tippah County to the late Joseph Robert and Arizona Idell Bryant Beavers. She received her education from Falkner High School and was married July 17, 1959, to her beloved husband, William Edward Kelly for 47 years before his passing on April 28, 2007. She was a valued school bus driver for North Tippah School District, where she drove children for thirty-five years before her retirement in 2020.
A Christian and faithful member of Unity Baptist Church, Mrs. Kelly loved watching Heart Land on tv, Friday night auctions, karaoke, eating out, and socializing with anyone and everyone. She was very strong willed and embraced her role as being a loving mother and grandmother. She shared much of her time at church and always looked forward to sharing time with the "Silver Seniors" at Unity. Mrs. Kelly had a strong faith in her Lord and will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Memories will be shared by four daughters, Darlene Hopkins, Tina Robertson (Mark), Joy Kelly, and Stacey Holmes (Matt), two sisters, Ruby Bridges, and Martha Smith (Randy), one brother, Bill Beavers, twelve grandchildren, Jimmy, Jackie, Trisha, Danny, Jessica, Morgan, Will, David, Samantha, Cameron, Avery, and Walker, and eighteen precious great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded by one son, Don "Punk" Kelly, three sisters, Peggy Clemmer, Tina Brady, and Judy Jones, and five brothers, Dennis, Bob, Harmon, Johnny, and Robert Beavers.
