Marie Roberson Shinall

On Tuesday evening, April 4, 2023, Marie Roberson Shinall, 89, resident of Ripley, peacefully departed this life at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley surrounded by family.
Funeral Services honoring the well lived life of Mrs. Shinall will be at 1 PM Friday, April 7 at Turner's Chapel Church with Bro. Howard Goolsby and her grandson, Chris Shinall officiating. Burial will follow in Criswell Cemetery.
Mrs. Shinall was born December 12, 1933 in Tippah County, the daughter of the late John and Alma Jeter Roberson. She received her education at Centre School near Ripley and on November 3, 1951 married her beloved husband, Arnold Shinall who preceded her in death on September 9, 2000.
A dedicated member of Turner's Chapel Baptist Church, Mrs. Shinall enjoyed reading her Bible daily, tending to her flowers and shopping. Her family will remember her excellent cooking skills, especially her famous coconut cake and chicken and dressing.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 6 from 5 Pm to 8 PM and will continue Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM at Turner's Chapel Baptist Church.
Blessed with a large loving family, memories will continue to be shared by two children, Nancy Bridges (Terry) and Ricky Shinall (Jeanie), four grandchildren, Missy Bridges, Lynn King (James), Chris Shinall (April) and Heather Cornelius (Mike), nine great grandchildren, Matt King (Casey), Hunter Cornelius (Morgan), Peyton Cornelius, Cooper Cornelius, Jacob King, Gehrig Shinall, Trevor Shinall, Morgan Jewel Shinall and Andy Mullikin, two great great grandaughters, Cora and Ann James King, two sisters, Peggy Flake (Johnny) and Polly Pannell and a brother, Johnny Roberson and two special caregivers, Sandra Parker and Peggy Brown.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Farmer, Mattie Etta Mauney and Scottie Thomas and two brothers, RT Roberson and Alton Roberson.
