Michael Shane Ragland

Michael Shane Ragland, 55, resident of Falkner, died Saturday morning June 22, 2024, as the result of a one vehicle auto accident in Tippah County.

Funeral Services remembering the life of Michael will be at 1 PM Wednesday, June 26 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Darren Owens officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until 1 PM Wednesday, June 26 with burial to follow in Falkner Cemetery.

Born June 21, 1969, in Memphis, TN, Michael is the son of Diane Watts Ragland Jackson (Leroy) of Falkner and the late Gene Ragland. He was a graduate of Falkner High School, was employed in the construction industry with Hill Brothers Construction Company and served as an engineer with the Canadian National Railway Company.

Michael enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. An animal lover and nature lover, he will also be remembered as one who enjoyed privacy and simplicity.

Memories will continue to be shared by his mother Diane Watts Ragland Jackson (Leroy), two sisters, Jeanine Herrmann (Fred) of Richmond, KY and Brandon Ragland of Baton Rouge, LA and a host of family and friends.

In addition to his father, Gene Ragland, Michael is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Lucille Watts and paternal grandparents, Alfred and Thelma Ragland.
