Oleta Yater Mauney Phillips Obituary

Oleta Yater Mauney Phillips, 92, resident of Tippah County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Ripley.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Chapman Cemetery.

Ms. Phillips was born on March 22, 1930 to the late Frank E. and Paulina Walton Mauney and was a graduate of Pine Grove High School. She was employed in the manufacturing industry.

A Christian and proud member of Chapman Church of Christ, Ms. Phillips favorite pastimes included fishing, gardening, caring for her dogs, cooking plenty of food, eating and her beloved horse, "Blaze".

Those left to cherish memories include a host of many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Phillips is preceded in death by three sisters, Octavia McElroy, Cassie Green Piani, Loyce Shinall and three brothers, Dennis Mauney, Leeman Mauney, Clayton Mauney and her friend, Shirley.
