Pattie Sue Settlemires, age 92, departed this life peacefully at Diversicare Nursing Home in Ripley on Wednesday July 9, 2025.
Funeral Services honoring Mrs. Pattie's life will be at 1 PM Friday July 11, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with visitation from 11 AM until time of service. Bro. Doc Shelton will officiate, and burial will follow in Spouts Spring Cemetery, with no graveside service.
Pattie was born on December 4, 1932, to the late Oliver Windham (O.W) Richardson and Birchie M. Richardson. Pattie was a homemaker who worked at Foot Caress Shoe Factory and at the Tippah County Red Cross Office. Pattie loved working in her garden and enjoyed her flowers. She was a life-long member of Spout Springs Presbyterian Church and attended there until her health declined.
Pattie leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Rickey Settlemires and wife, Sherrell of Ripley, David Settlemires of Ripley, and daughter, Stacey Breland of Ripley. She leaves five grandchildren, Scott Settlemires and wife, Lisa, Ivy Settlemires Hall and husband Jon of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Hunter Mullins, Skylar Breland, and River Breland all of Ripley. She also leaves five great grandchildren, Ella Settlemires, Nathan Settlemires, Cleo Hall, Remi Hall, and Forest Mullins.
Pattie was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Aaron Settlemires, son Anthony Windham Settlemires, grandson, Chad Aaron Settlemires, and brother J.C. Richardson.
Pallbearers will be Scott Settlemires, Larry Richardson, Mike Johnson, Mark Johnson, River Breland, and Jon Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Spout Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund C/O Roger Childs, P.O. Box 419, Ripley, MS 8663.
