Ricky Onia Leatherwood

Rickey Onia Leatherwood, 64, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at his home in Corinth.

Born June 8, 1959, in Corinth MS, Rickey was the son of the late Lester and Francis Ivy Leatherwood and a graduate of Corinth High School. A Christian and member of Church of the Crossroads in Corinth, MS, Rickey was an electrician and member of the IBEW Electricians Union for many years until his retirement.

An avid pool player, Rickey also took great pleasure in watching NASCAR, riding his motorcycle and playing basketball as long as his health allowed. He enjoyed classic rock music and will be remembered as an expert in classic rock trivia.

Those left to cherish his memories include three daughters, Brooke Alberson (Timothy) of Ashland, Madison Leatherwood of Ohio, Hannah Leatherwood of Booneville, one son Zach Leatherwood (Misty) of Corinth, two sisters, Dianne Elliot and Deborah Brandon and his significant other, Jackie Bailey.

Mr. Leatherwood is preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Stegall.
