A joyful life beautifully lived for 96 years, our dear mother and grandma, Ruby Nabors Crum lived her faith. She departed this life Monday evening June 10, 2019 at the Tippah County Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley following an extended illness.
Funeral Services honoring the Christian life of Ms. Ruby will be at 11 AM Saturday June 15 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Bro. Wayne McKee and Bro. Bill Baker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Falkner.
Ms. Ruby was born June 4, 1923 in Tippah County, the daughter of the late Clarence and Dora Wright Nabors. She received her education in the Tippah County School System and was employed as a Nurse for the Tippah County Hospital for 25 years until her retirement.
A Christian and lifetime resident of Tippah County , Ms. Ruby was passionate about her church, Pleasant Hill Baptist and caring for others in the community. She was a very outgoing person whose greatest accomplishments were her family, friends and helping those in need. Favorite pastimes included yardwork and enjoying her roses.
Ms. Ruby has left a lifetime of memories to be cherished by her family and all who knew her take great comfort in knowing that she is now rejoicing in heaven. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation for Ms. Ruby will be Saturday June 15 from 9 AM to 11 AM at The Ripley Funeral Home.
Memories will be cherished by four daughters, Jean Hall of Blue Mountain, Clara Hardin of Ripley, Betty Hill (Kenneth) of Falkner and Sandra Hardin (Jerry) of Savannah, TN, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and twenty four great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons in law, Kevin Hall and Bill Hardin, two sisters, Mildred Windham and Ruth McDowell, three brothers, J.P., J.C. and William Nabors, one great grandson and a special long time friend, Faye Ayers.
