Ms. Shelia was born on January 17, 1967, in Ripley, Mississippi, to the late Tate Crowsby and Dorothy Dean Hudspeth Jeter. She received her education from Ripley High School and was employed for ten years as a team leader with Dirt Cheap in Blue Mountain. She was very blessed at what she did, as she was quite the people person, never meeting a stranger, and always a joy to be around.

A Christian, her favorite pastimes included tending to her flowers and plants, spoiling her pets and grandchildren, and spending time with all of her family. Someone who was very outspoken, and "said it like it is", Ms. Shelia had smile that could light up any room, as she was free spirited, fun to be around, and lived life to its fullest. To her friends and family, Shelia was one of the strongest women they had ever known, never needing help with anything. To know her was to love her, as she laughed often, helped others always, and loved her family and friends deeply. Her smile will always be etched in our hearts, her laughter will echo in our minds, and her never ending fight for life is a reminder to us all never give up. Ms. Shelia leaves a legacy that will continue to be cherish for all the days to come.

Those left to cherish her memories include three daughters, Deana Peak, Alicia Smith (Amber), and Nicky Lopez (Venancio), two brothers, Tim Jeter (Jessica), and Rodney Jeter, eight grandchildren, a special sister-in-law, Jeannie Brock, and a host of family and friends.
