Shirley Beibers Estes, 87, resident of Ripley, passed away peacefully July 2, 2023. Mrs. Estes was born January 12, 1936, in Tippah County to the late Grady and Sadie Shelton Beibers. Mrs. Estes was a graduate of Palmer School. She was married to her beloved husband Steadman Estes for 35 years who precedes her in death.
Funeral Services honoring Mrs. Estes will be at 11 AM Friday, July 7 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Minister King McCarver and Bro. Winston Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Thursday, July 6 and will continue from 9 AM to service time Friday, July 7 at The Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Little Hope Cemetery in Falkner.
Shirley will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her green thumb and the many beautiful flowers she grew. She served her community through her church, Beech Hill Church of Christ where she was a member and through the Civic Club and Hospital Auxiliary. Shirley was a very loving and compassionate person to all who knew her. Her working career included twenty years with Foot Caress and working side by side with Steadman building houses in Germantown, TN.
Mrs. Estes is survived by her children, Kathy LaBarreare (Tommy) of Falkner, Wanda Carr (Cotton) and Bobby Walker (Darlene), both of Ripley, Lisa Nelson (Ray) of Collierville, Mark Estes of Memphis and Keith Estes (Tammy) of Princeton, TX. Twelve grandchildren, Kelly Miller (Scott), Richard Carr, Marcie Walker, Jake Walker (Whitney), Morgan and Jordyn Turner, Heather Ashmore (Nick), Janna LaBarreare, Kimberly Henderson, Dana Maley (Jonathan), Alex and P.K. Estes, six precious great grandchildren, and one brother, William Murry Beibers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steadman Estes, one brother Denford Beibers and one sister Sue Janes Thomas.
