Steven Eric Bowen

On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Steven Eric Bowen, 54, resident of Booneville, passed away peacefully at AMG Assisted Care in Batesville following a brief illness.

Funeral Services for Steven will be at 12 Noon Thursday, January 22 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Hurt officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until 12 Noon.

Steven was born August 23, 1971, in Ripley, was the son of the late Roger Dale Bowen and the late Nellie Mills Barnes and received his education from Ripley High School.  He will be remembered as an outstanding artist who loved watching old westerns on television, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, fishing and refurbishing knives. 

Those left to treasure memories include a daughter, Emily Street, three sons, Cody Bowen, Harley Bowen and Will Bowen, two sisters, Michelle Still (Milton) and Gayla Stephenson (Mark), three brothers, Anthony Bowen (Cindy), Greg Bowen (Tammy) and Shane Bowen (Lisa), five grandchildren, Sarah Street, Lilly, Raven, Chase and Eli Bowen and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to a great friend and caregiver, Danny McDonald and to AMG Specialty Hospital, Batesville, MS for all their love and care during Steve's final days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Justin Bowen.
