Arnold Kenneth Mauney

Arnold Kenneth Mauney, 80, resident of the Dry Creek Community and husband of Ruthie Duvall Mauney, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning February 21, 2017 at his home.
  Services honoring the well lived life of Mr. Mauney will be at 2 PM Friday, February 24 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro.Dewayne Morgan officiating. He will be assisted by Bro. Robert Walker. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
  Born March 11, 1936 in Tippah County, he was the son of the late Arnold and Addie Reaves Mauney. Mr. Mauney attended Pine Grove High School and on May 11, 1957 married the former Ruthie Duvall, his beloved wife of almost 60 years, who survives. The couple moved to Memphis and in earlier years was employed as Shipping Clerk for Eastex Packing Company for 20 years until his retirement in 1981. He returned to the Dry Creek Community with his family and enjoyed working at Fryar's Sawmill from 1993 until 2001.
  A Baptist and family oriented man, Mr. Mauney was an avid Ole Miss Football and St. Louis Cardinal fan. His pleasureswere supporting his favorite teams and outdoor activities that included fishing and hunting.
  Visitation will continue Friday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those also left to honor his memory are his sons, Mike Mauney of Dry Creek and Keith Mauney (Pam) of Olive Branch, grandsons, Kasey Mauney and Alex Mauney, both of Olive Branch, a nephew, Barry Rinehart (Annette) of Dry Creek and special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Leo Cissom. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Evie Rinehart.
