Clair John Lee "Jr" Turney

Mr. Clai Clair John Lee "Jr" Turney, 83, resident of Blue Mountain, former resident of Kankakee, IL and US Army Veteran, died January 25, 2016 at the Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth following a brief illness. Services and burial for Mr. Turney will be in North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores, Michigan. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home. A native of Kankakee, IL, Mr. Turney was a Catholic and served as a production manager for the Dow Chemical Co. in Kankakee for over 30 years. He had recently moved to the Blue Mountain Community to reside with his son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Cynthia Turney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Schuck Turney, who died in 1988, 2 brothers, George and Leroy Turney and a sister, Barbara Turney. Mr. Turney also leaves a son, Michael Turney of Cape Canaveral, FL, 2 sisters, Shirley Westcott and Bertha Turney, a brother, Donald Turney, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The American Flag at The Ripley Funeral Home entrance honors Mr. Turney and all Veterans for service to our Country.
