Jerry Wayne "Bubba" Pannell, 53, resident of the Ripley Community and beloved husband of Elaine Cook Pannell, passed away Monday morning April 10, 2017 at Tippah County Hospital following a brief illness.
  Services honoring the life of Bubba will be at 10 AM Wednesday, April 12 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Roscoe Watkins and Bro. Toby Mardis officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Ripley.
  Born October 10, 1963 in Baldwyn, he was the son of the late James W. and Ollie Kennedy Pannell. A Christian, Bubba received his education in the Pine Grove Public School System and was employed for over 15 years as an independent long distance Truck Operator. On January 8, 2008 he married the love of his life, Elaine Cook Pannell, who survives.
  Bubba will be remembered as a people person who enjoyed activities with family and friends. He was an avid OLE MISS football fan who had a love for fishing, playing bass guitar and pitching washers. Those closest to Bubba will remember his love for his family, friends and grandchildren.
  Visitation for Bubba will be from 8 AM until service time Wednesday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those also left to honor his memory are: his children, Josh Thomas of Ripley, Jessica "Nae-Nae" Crawford (Jeremy) and Sarah Zills (Justin) both of Walnut, 3 sisters, Vicky Armstrong (Curtis), Teresa Burns (Hal) and Lisa Collums (Scott) all of Walnut, 4 grandchildren, Emma and Tucker Zills, Chole and Natalie Crawford, 6 nephews, 4 nieces, his best buddy, Wes Reno and a host of other family and friends.
