Mary Louise Hall Hopper, 84, resident of Ripley and wife of the late William L. Hopper, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at Golden Living Center. Services will be at 2 PM Saturday, Feb. 13 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Falkner.
A native of Hardeman County, TN, Mrs. Hopper was a former resident of Memphis before moving to Tippah County in 1985. She and her late husband operated Knight's Phillips 66 Service Station in Memphis for many years before their retirement. A Christian and devoted to her family, she enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, fishing and camping with her special friend, collecting angels and gospel music.
Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
She leaves her children, Pamela Hall Burton of Ripley, Walter Bishop III (Missie) of Waynesboro, VA and Terry Bishop of Jefferson City, MO, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her oldest son George Barnes , her special friend, Charlie Hubbard, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
