Reflections on the well lived life of Mrs. Sparks will be given by her son, Ricky Carman. Burial will follow in Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery near Ripley.
A native of Tippah County, Mrs. Sparks was born September 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Clyde and Dulcie Nix Clark. At an early age she moved with her family to Memphis where she attended Memphis City Schools. On May 22, 1967, she married Robert Ray "Bobby" Sparks and the couple returned to the North Missippi in 2008 to be near their family. Mr. Sparks preceded her in death on June 26, 2010.
A Christian, Mrs. Sparks will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her home was a gathering place for family who knew they would always be greeted with a smile and the best home cooking one could hope for. Mrs. Sparks enjoyed yard sales and was an avid daily newspaper reader, every page and every line.
