Phillip Robert Buse, 68, resident of the Three Forks Community near Walnut and devoted husband of Winda Dail Wilbanks Buse for 50 years, passed away Thursday evening September 15, 2016 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis after an extended illness.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Buse will be at 2 PM Sunday, September 18 at Oakland Baptist Church near Walnut. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Buse was born January 3, 1948 in Lake County, TN to the late Edmond and Ruby Phillips Buse. In 1952, Phillip and his family moved to Tippah County where he called home for 64 years.
Phillip attended Walnut High School and was proudly employed by Carrier Air Conditioners, Inc. in Collierville, TN where he served in management and supervision for 32 years before retiring in 1998. His work ethic gained the respect of many and he instilled that same respect in his sons. An avid supporter of local and national politics, Phillip was never hesitant to share his views with friends and family. When he wasn't occupied by FOX News, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Phillip was a Christian and attended Oakland Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.
Visitation will continue Sunday, September 18 at the church 1 hour before services.
In addition to his wife, who also served as his caregiver through his illness, he leaves his beloved sons, Robert Buse (Carol) of Walnut, Ronald Buse (Sheri) of Holiday, FL and Randy Buse (April) of Blue Mountain, a brother, Ray Donahue (Bobbie) of Saltillo, 7 grandchildren, Courtney Jones (DJ), Nolan, Nathan, Jenna, Katie, Lauren and Reed Buse and 2 great grandsons, Canden and Cadeson Jones. He was preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Pannell and a brother, Jerry Donahue.
