 Robert Kyle Coburn, Sr., resident of Venice, FL and beloved husband of a native Tippah Countian, Lavonia (Lucy) Gibens Coburn, passed away peacefully January 6, 2017 at his residence. He was 80 years of age.
  Services, with Military Honors, celebrating the Christian life of Mr. Coburn will be at 11 AM Saturday, January 14 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Lewellen officiating. Burial will follow in Boxs Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born February 15, 1936 in Goffstown, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Donald and Margaret Wright Coburn. He served for 6 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Coburn began his lifelong engineering career that continued until his retirement in 2006.
  Mr. Coburn will be remembered by family and friends as a person with a strong work ethic who possessed Christian values that placed his lifetime priorities as God, Family and Country. He was devoted to his church by serving as a Deacon, church bus driver and Sunday School teacher for his 4th grade "men".
  A visitation will continue Saturday from 10 AM until service time at the church.
  Those also left to honor his memory are his children, Sandra McCormick (Bill) of Boca Raton, FL, Margie Pendleton (Dennis) of Del Ray, FL, Rob Coburn, Jr. (Marta) of Naples, FL, Frank Coburn (Pam) Prescott, AZ and Daniel Coburn (Kristen) of Overland Park, KS, 2 brothers, Carl Wright and Donald Coburn, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
