Billie Ruth Johnson Caldwell

 Billie Ruth Caldwell, 89, resident of the Walnut Community and retired Real Estate Agent, passed away Sunday morning December 10, 2017 at Rest Haven Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley following an extended illness.
  Graveside Services for Mrs. Caldwell will be at 2:30 PM Tuesday December 12 at Stateline Cemetery near Walnut with her son, Bro. Ronnie Caldwell officiating. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born September 19, 1928 in Tippah County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Juanita Meeks Johnson. Ms. Caldwell moved with her family to Memphis at an early age where she was a graduate of the Memphis City School System. A homemaker in earlier years, Ms. Caldwell continued her education that qualified her as a Real Estate Agent in the Memphis area, a business that she enjoyed for a number of years before her retirement.
  Ms. Caldwell returned to Tippah County after her retirement where she enjoyed her family and friends from past years.
  A member of the Full Gospel Church, Ms. Caldwell will be remembered for her Christian values and her love for the Lord. She found much pleasure in music, antiques and "treasure hunting" for that special bargain.
  A visitation will be from 8 AM until 11 AM Tuesday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Becky Jones of Lake City, FL, two sons, Ronnie Caldwell (Lucy) of Tiplersville and Jerry Caldwell (Teresa) of Chalybeate, a sister, Gayra Johnson of Nashville, TN, a brother, Charles Johnson of Brownfield, a daughter in law , Rhonda Caldwell of Union City, TN, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
  Ms. Caldwell was also preceded in death by a son, David Caldwell, a grandson, Shane Caldwell, a son in law, Jake Jones and the father of her children, Jimmy L. Caldwell.
  Pallbearers will be her grandsons and the family request that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Ave. Memphis, TN 38105.
