Carl Lee Pruitt

  Carl Lee Pruitt, 67, resident of Ashland and retired printing press operator for B & M Printing Co. in Memphis departed this life on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Rest Haven Care Center in Ripley following a one year illness. Services honoring the life of Mr. Pruitt will be at 2 PM Tuesday, May 31 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home and burial will be private. Carl was born August 26, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN. He was a resident of Memphis before moving to Ashland 31 years ago. A Christian, Carl will be remembered as an avid reader who enjoyed the rural way of life. He had a special love for his pet dogs, Bobo and Lady and he found much pleasure in traveling throughout Benton County and surrounding areas in his Chevrolet pickup. He looked forward to family members visiting with him and sharing home cooked meals for all of those who came to visit. A visitation for family and friends will be at Ripley Funeral Home 1 hour before services. Carl is survived by four daughters, Jessica Billingsley of Olive Branch, Tammy Keith of Eads, TN, Jennifer Morrell of Salt Lake City, Carla Pruitt of Libby, MT; his sons, Tim Pruitt of Senatobia, Jason Pruitt of Bonaire, GA, Josiah Pruitt of Libby, MT and Jamie Pruitt of Ashland; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
