Charlene Luna Weatherly

Charlene Luna Weatherly, 88, resident of the Three Forks Community near Walnut and native Tippah Countian, passed away Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016 at Diversacare Retirement Center in Ripley following an extended illness.
  Services honoring the life of Mrs. Weatherly will be at 2 PM Saturday, November 26 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery near Walnut. The Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
  Born July 10, 1928 in Tippah County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Benjamin and Vashti Brady Luna. Mrs. Weatherly was a graduate of Tippah County Schools and married Travis Eugene Weatherly, Sr., who died in 1984.
  A Baptist by faith, Mrs. Weatherly was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who loved her family. A gifted flower gardener, she will be remembered for her love of hummingbirds, needlework and reading. She leaves a lifetime of experiences, good times and lessons to be learned for her friends and family.
  Visitation will continue Saturday from 1 PM until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Travis (Butch) Weatherly, Jr. (Kay), Benny Weatherly (Valeria), Debbie Beavers and Tim Weatherly (Diane), all of Walnut, 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Hodum, Holly Hicks (Jeff), Allison Jones (Brian), Kacy Price (Shon) and Kyle Weatherly (Hailey) all of Walnut, 14 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by a son in law, Jerry Beavers.
  Those honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Lee Bryant, Jeff Hicks, Brian Jones, Shon Price, Kyle Weatherly and Tony Weatherly.
