Clois Lea Warner Witt
July 23, 1935 ~ August 18, 2015 (age 80) 80 Years Old Clois Lea Warner Witt , 80,resident of Thomson, GA, retired registered nurse and former resident of the Ripley Community, died August, 18, 2015 at University Hospital. Graveside Services for Mrs. Witt will be at 11 AM Saturday, August 22nd at the Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Baker officiating. The Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Louisiana, Mrs. Witt was the wife of the late Robert Daniel "Jack" Witt, the first Personnel Manager of The Biltrite Corporation when it was established in Ripley. She was involved in health care for most her life and had a passion for encouraging children to receive immunizations.
She was a long time Methodist and participated in Honduras missions sponsored by her church. Mrs. Witt will be remembered as a person who lived life fully and inspired others with her adventurous spirit.
She leaves her daughters, Sharon Brooks of Martinez, GA, Laurie Crossley (Jim) and grandchildren, Sarah and Anna Crossley of Roswell, GA. Memorials are requested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Thomson First United Methodist Church of Thomson, GA.
