Lula Yates Hill

 Lula Yates Hill, 87, lifelong resident of Falkner and loving wife of Bobby Hill for 68 years, departed this life to be with her Savior, Wednesday evening September 14, 2016 at The North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
  Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Hill will be at 11 AM Saturday, September 17 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with her nephews, Bro. Richie Lockhart of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Bro. Jody Hill of Ripley Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born April 3, 1929 in Falkner, she was the daughter of the late William Almos and Mamie Eaton Yates. A graduate of Falkner High School, Mrs. Hill continued her education at the Memphis School of Business and later returned to Tippah County where she was employed by Foot Caress in Ripley before devoting the remainder of her life as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
  A member of Falkner Baptist Church, Mrs. Hill also attended Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church with her large extended family. She will be remembered for her love of music, playing the piano, flowers, hummingbirds and cooking. Her family stated that "some of her happiest moments were cooking favorite meals for those she loved".
  Visitation will be from 9 AM until service time Saturday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves her much loved children, Jan Hughes (Bobby) of Evans, GA and Brad Hill (Maria) of Falkner, her grandchildren, Hillary Herring (Andy), Justin Hughes, Laken, Megan and Brandon Hill, her great grandson, Greyson Rogers and a great grand daughter, Lillie Mae Herring, due February 9, 2017. She also leaves her special caregiver, Ann Johnson and many loving family members.
  Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Hill, sisters, Gladys Roberts, Mildred Patrick, Mat Jones and Dorothy Hoenick and a brother, Clyde Yates.
  Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Gerald Hill, Kenneth Hill, Jimmy Hill, Eugene Hill, Robert McKee, Clyde Ray Robertson and Bill Waldon.
