My sincere condolences to Norman's family. Death has the reputation of being cruel as it robs us of the ones we love and creates a void that cannot be filled. Do take courage. God has the victory over death. God has promised to restore life to our loved ones. Notably in the Bible, when the able-bodied man Job asked if there is life after death, God reassured him that there is and that He is eager to give life back to those who have died. (Job 14:14-15) We pray for God's will to be done on earth as in heaven. It is hard to even imagine what living conditions will be like then. However, Revelation 21:3-4 gives us a glimpse where it says suffering, pain and even death will be no more. That is just what we would expect from our loving Creator. A bright future when we will be reunited with our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death is what God has in store (Psalm 145: 16). I do pray that these words along with shared treasured memories will bring you some comfort. May you have peace.
