Pauline Hopkins Jordan
May 17, 1933 ~ November 20, 2015 (age 82) 82 Years OldPauline Hopkins Jordan, 82, lifelong resident of the Ashland Community and wife of the late John Henry Jordan, died peacefully at her home Friday evening, Nov. 20, 2015 following a brief illness. Services honoring the life of Mrs. Jordan will be at 2 PM Monday, Nov. 23 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with burial in the Hopkins Cemetery in Benton Co. Visitation will continue at The Ripley Funeral Home one hour before services.
A Christian, she was employed for over 35 years by the ABC Mfg. Co. in Ashland before her retirement and attended the New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Jordan was known for her love of fishing and some of her happiest times were on the creek bank. She loved her family and any one visiting her home never left hungry.
Mrs. Jordan leaves her children Kim Potter (Ricky) of Ripley, Hal Jordan (Gail) of Ashland, her grandchildren, Chad Jordan (Kelly) of Falkner, Johnathan Jordan of Ashland, Lauren Moore (Keith) of Ripley, her step-grandchildren, Michael Potter (Mikki) of Dumas, Christine Murphy (Billy) of Baldwyn, her great-grandchildren, John Devin, Maddox, Jackson and Cooper Jordan, Logan and Landon Green, Leah Moore, Hunter, Chloe and Karlee Austin, her step-great-grandchildren, Madison, Mallory, Brian, Taylor and Katie Potter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard W. Hopkins and Lillie Lovie May Smith Hopkins, a grandson John Edward Austin and two brothers, Gaither Hopkins and Mike Hopkins.
