October 17, 1937 ~ June 15, 2016 (age 78) 78 Years OldWilliam Augusta "Willie" Jeanes, 78, resident of the Dumas Community, died Tuesday, June 15, 2016 after an extended illness. Services honoring the life of Mr. Jeanes will be at 3 PM Saturday, June 18 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Foley and Rev. Kenneth Harrison officiating. A private burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in Tippah County. A visitation for family and friends will be from 1 PM to 3 PM Saturday at The Ripley Funeral Home. Born Oct. 17, 1937 in Tippah County, Mr. Jeanes was a man of many talents and self-employed until his retirement. He loved fishing, spending time with his many friends and family, and talking about the "good old days". He was an active member of the Tippah County Pine Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Jeanes is survived by his wife of 56 years, Yvonne Anderson Jeanes, a daughter, Myra Clark (Anthony) of Memphis, grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sarah Livingston of Memphis, Anna Clark of Nashville, Kyle and Laken Clark of Memphis and his many friends, which include his dearest friends, Jack and Chris Adams. Mr. Jeanes was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Elmer Jeanes and sisters, Dorothy Barkley and Brenda Jones. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jack Adams, Chris Adams, C.B. Gates, Gene Yancey, Kevin Morris and Chase Gil, Jr.
