We were truly sorry to hear of your loss; which is our loss as well. He will be greatly missed, but the way in which he lived his life and his deeds will live on in our hearts and minds. May the Lord give you comfort as only He can.

Not, How Did He Die,But How Did He Live?

Not how did he die, but how did he live?
Not what did he gain, but what did he give?

These are the units to measure the worth
Of a man as man, regardless of birth.

Not what was his church, nor what was his creed?
But had he befriended those really in need?

Was he ever read, with word of good cheer.
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?

Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when he passed away.

My heart is truly saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. James. The roofing industry lost an icon and we who knew Mr. James lost a good friend! In my early years as a rookie salesman Mr. James was always willing to talk with me and most definitely would shoot you straight. Mr. James was not afraid to share his faith in Christ and that's what I respected him the most about him. Mr. James fought the good fight and his "don't quit attitude" impacted everyone around him! The Strickland family and the Mitch Parker family are in my prayers and thoughts.
